Enhancing Bathroom Safety for Seniors Aging in Place

Addressing significant concerns such as accessing the shower safely, poor lighting, and the cumbersome, heavy sliding glass door, we embarked on a project to transform a bathroom to support aging in place. The lack of safety features prompted us to innovate and design an accessible, secure, and well-lit showering environment.

Reimagining Space:

With little design work and recreating of the space, we were able to bring this bathroom to life again with quality lighting and an easy to open door to access a walk-in shower safely. Adding grab bars and converting the tub to a walk-in was the best way to make this bathroom safe and accessible, allowing this homeowner to start loving the space again.

I had an excellent experience with W.E. Davies. They worked with me to keep costs manageable for a complete bathroom overall and to incorporate into the design, some features that I really wanted, but that weren't readily available. I think that they went out of the way to ensure that I was pleased with the end product.

I have used W.E.Davies Handyman Services for the past two years and currently for varying home maintenance needs. I love that the office staff is friendly, polite, easy to reach and very helpful. The handyman staff are also friendly, polite, very reliable, work quickly and do excellent work. Worth every penny and I will continue to call them for future home maintenance needs. Highly recommend this long established, family owned company!

WE Davies utilizes our services to remove asbestos they come into on their job sites. They are courteous, professional, and always timely in their responses and communications. We welcome their phone calls to our business. I also enjoy working with Kyle at NARI of Madison.

Our project (a bathroom remodel) was handled smoothly and efficiently by Davies & Sons and was completed in a timely manner. The carpenters (especially Tim), tilers and painters were skilled - the job site was always cleaned at the end of the day - and very easy to work with! We heartily recommend W.E. W.E. Davies company was recommended to us by another contractor. This was our first time using a building contractor, and we were not disappointed.Throughout the whole planning process they were extremely helpful listening to what we wanted and sharing ideas.The quality of their work, and sticking to schedule were very important to us and they delivered on both accounts.
